Fanduel NBA 12/19/18 Picks

Been busy at work so I've been out of the DFS game busy with work the past week. Huge 12 game slate with six players valued over $10000 and 17 players at $9000+. Let's see if we can find some value:

PG

Russell Westbrook ($11400) @SAC - 35 min - 234.5 O/U - 120 Tm pts
Kemba Walker ($9700) vs. CLE - 35 min - 214 O/U - 113.5 Tm pts
Chris Paul ($8200) vs. WAS - 35 min - 224 O/U - 117.75 Tm pts

Tons of high priced options. John Wall ($10200), Ben Simmons ($9400), Damian Lillard ($9200), Stephen Curry ($9200), Kyrie Irving ($9000). Wall has had two huge games recently, but both were at home. The Wizards are a mess. I have a tough time playing Simmons with a big spread and Butler in the lineup. Anyone either @UTA or vs. MEM is a tough play for me. You have to believe Irving is going to scorch PHO in three quarters because that's going to be a blowout. Russ is in a good spot with the highest implied total on the slate. Kemba feels like he's in bounce back range and I think this game will be closer than the spread implies. Paul at home feels like a solid 4.5x play, but I would bet against 6x.

Value Plays

Terry Rozier ($4200) vs. PHO - 25 min - 223 O/U - 117.5 Tm pts
T.J. McConnell ($3800) vs. NY - 25 min - 228 O/U - 120 Tm pts
Kris Dunn ($7000) vs. BKN - 33 min - 212.5 O/U - 105.5 Tm pts
Derrick Rose ($6200) vs. DET - 31 min - 216.5 O/U - 111 Tm pts

You can also add Fred VanVleet ($5200), Bryn Forbes ($3700), and Tim Frazier ($5300). Rozier and McConnell are strong options with minutes and matchups. Dunn seems overpriced here. Rose in a much stronger position with a better price point.

SG

James Harden ($11600) vs. WAS - 36 min - 224 O/U - 117.75 Tm pts
Jrue Holiday ($8900) @MIL - 37 min - 231 O/U - 111 Tm pts
Victor Oladipo ($8700) @TOR - 33 min - 210 O/U - 102.5 Tm pts

Harden has been smoking. I beat the drum that WAS can't guard anything. Hard to believe he's not 5x tonight. Holiday will get a usage bump with Randle and Mirotic out and is at a fair price point. Oladipo is not nearly in as good a matchup so I'll be playing Holiday at a similar price point.

Value Plays

Eric Gordon ($4700) vs. WAS - 33 min - 224 O/U - 117.75 Tm pts
Jordan Clarkson ($5800) @CHA - 31 min - 214 O/U - 100.5 Tm pts
Marcus Smart ($5200) vs. PHO - 28 min - 223 O/U - 117.5 Tm pts
Jaylen Brown ($4300) vs. PHO - 23 min 223 O/U - 117.5 Tm pts

You can add Jeremy Lamb ($6400), Buddy Hield ($6400), Frank Mason ($3700) to this list. Smart is always a good play against bad teams where he can force a couple of turnovers and get to 5x easily. Brown is a good play if you believe a blowout is going to happen. Gordon has had a bunch of clunkers lately but has consistent minutes and Clarkson has had tremendous usage lately.

SF

Giannis Antetokounmpo ($11800) vs. NO - 36 min - 231 O/U - 120 Tm pts
Kawhi Leonard ($9700) vs. IND - 37 min - 210 O/U - 107.5 Tm pts
Paul George ($9400) @SAC - 37 min - 234.5 O/U - 120 Tm pts

Last time I faded Giannis he went for 74.8 pts. I wonder if he sees this as an MVP challenge vs. the Brow. I'm still a little leery about a guaranteed 5x, but I must harbor something against Giannis. Leonard feels like 4.5x at this price point. George is a much stronger play at a similar price point and a huge implied total.

Value Plays

Joe Harris ($5000) @CHI - 31 min - 212.5 O/U - 107 Tm pts
Solomon Hill ($4300) @MIL - 31 min - 231 O/U - 111 Tm pts
Justin Jackson ($3500) vs. OKC - 23 min - 234.5 O/U - 114.5 Tm pts

Harris has been an easy 5x at this price point the last three games and should get consistent run with Crabbe out. Hill is going to get 30 minutes with their injuries and should be 5x tonight. Jackson will get extra run tonight with Bogdan out and is a good roster construction play.

PF

Anthony Davis ($12700) @MIL - 38 min - 231 O/U - 111 Tm pts
Blake Griffin ($9200) @MIN - 36 min - 216.5 O/U - 105.5 Tm pts
Larry Nance ($7000) @CHA - 31 min - 214 O/U - 100.5 Tm pts

AD leads the NBA in PER and is a usage monster when injuries occur. It's a huge price tag, but he's so consistent. Griffin is probably a low ownership play in a pretty good matchup. Nance will have higher ownership, but is performing consistently above this price point.

Rodions Kurucs ($4400) @CHI - 24 min - 212.5 O/U - 107 Tm pts
Pascal Siakam ($6700) vs. IND - 36 min - 210 O/U - 107.5 Tm pts

Kurucs will continue to get extra burn with Crabbe out and Siakam should get more run tonight with both Ibaka and Valanciunas are out. Chris Boucher ($3500) a nice 5x or punt play as well.

C

Joel Embiid ($10700) vs. NY - 35 min - 228 O/U - 120 Tm pts
Andre Drummond ($9500) @MIN - 34 min - 216.5 O/U - 105.5 Tm pts
Clint Capela ($8400) vs. WAS - 33 min - 224 O/U - 117.75 Tm pts

Embiid is tough when Butler is in the lineup so I'm probably spending elsewhere. Drummond has been around 5x or above five of the last six games at this price point. Capela's price has finally come back down and he's in a good 5x spot tonight.

Value Plays

Mohamed Bamba ($3900) vs. SA - 26 min - 210.5 O/U - 103.5 Tm pts
Greg Monroe ($3800) vs. IND - 20 min - 210 O/U - 107.5 Tm pts

Monroe's minutes have to be higher. They legitimately only have three PF/C's on the roster tonight. Bamba a confirmed starter with Vucevic out tonight. I'll have exposure to both.

Good luck to everyone tonight!
